How did you get here?
I’m originally from Southern California—born and raised in the Inland Empire (909). My journey in higher education began back in 2008 at the Los Angeles Film & Recording Schools, where I started in admissions and later transitioned into student housing and financial aid. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work at several institutions in roles spanning advising, student services, student affairs, and program management. Before coming to Berkeley, I was at USC, where I oversaw an executive master’s program while completing my doctoral studies. That role allowed me to support graduate students, create meaningful events, and help guide them as they entered the program and broader college experience. In Spring 2024, I took a leap of faith and moved to Northern California, where I started working at another Cal graduate degree program supporting graduate students. I joined L&S in Summer 2025 and am excited for this new chapter supporting our incredible undergraduate students.

What is your advising philosophy?
My advising style is holistic—I focus on guiding, empowering, and building authentic relationships to help students navigate their academic journey. I believe advising and leadership are deeply connected, and I draw from both transformational and servant leadership approaches. That means leading with vision, fostering personal growth, and always keeping student and community well-being at the center.

What advice do you have for L&S students in general?
Relax and know that you don’t have to have everything figured out right away. The hardest part was getting here. Now that you’re here, college is your platform to explore, grow, and take advantage of new opportunities. You're not doing this alone—we’re here to support you. So go ahead and take that class you're curious about, join that club, stop by faculty office hours, go to that sports game. Do the things now that your future self will thank you for.

A little bit more about me...
Outside of work, I love being near the water and exploring the Bay Area—whether by BART or ferry. I’m often out riding my motorcycle with a good playlist, checking out new food spots, visiting farmers markets, and discovering new neighborhoods. I’m a big dog lover and try to make four-legged friends wherever I go. And if there’s an R&B concert happening nearby, chances are I’m there.
