Welcome! L&S College Advising provides academic guidance throughout your undergraduate career, from orientation to graduation. We help students navigate college policies, academic decision-making, developmental opportunities, and campus resources.

Live Advising Support here

Live Advising Support, including our Virtual Front Desk, is available during open hours for questions that don't require a full 25-minute appointment to answer.

Schedule an L&S College Advising Appointment

L&S College Advising offers a variety of ways to meet 1:1 with an L&S College Adviser.

  • Regular 1:1 appointments are prescheduled, 25-minute meetings that allow you to get personalized support from L&S College Advisers. These are meant for in-depth discussions rather than quick questions. 
  • Specialized advising services are pre-professional advising (e.g. pre-law and pre-med) and satellite advising (e.g. CLSD and DSP) that can cater to your specific advising needs. 

Please note that L&S College Advisers are not the same as Undergraduate Major and/or Minor Advisers. To learn more about Undergraduate Major Advisers and how they differ, please scroll down and/or read our Major Advisers vs. College Advisers webpage for more information.

L&S Advisers' expertise is in answering non-major-specific academic questions.

L&S Advising offers specialized advising to inform decision-making and planning through a lens of admissions for the above pre-professional graduate programs.

Meet with an L&S Undergraduate Major and/or Minor Adviser

L&S Undergraduate Major and Minor Advisers specialize in major- and minor-specific questions. You can meet with either adviser even at the exploration stage.

  • Transfer work options for major/minor requirements
  • Impacts to major progress if struggling
