How did you get here?
My kind buddy, Arman, recommended I apply for this position. I love UCB! I have been trying work at Berkeley for about 10 years.
What is your advising philosophy?
I am a holistic advisor. I lead with kindness, empathy, and respect. I affirm to all my students that they matter and so do their families matter by providing a safe and welcoming space for us to meet. I take into consideration my students whole physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well being to be important components to help them find their purpose driven paths.
I work tireless to remind my students of their many strengths and values that they bring to the table. I encourage my students to build resilience by persevering and building the courage to ask for help.
What advice do you have?
I recommend my students be patient with themselves and to be present/goal oriented, and fight for what is important to them.
A little bit more about me...
I love traveling, trying new restaurants, and watching my son play his many sporting events.
