How did you get here?
Coming from an underfunded high school in Oakland, I struggled with impostor syndrome and feeling like I belonged at Cal. During my freshman year, however, I found the L&S Peer Program and I decided to apply so I could help other students who needed academic support. Over the next three years, I was able to work with a countless number of students and was able to make my mark on the program by hiring additional peer advisor cohorts. As a recent Berkeley grad, I am grateful to have the opportunity to continue working for the L&S Office of Undergraduate Advising as a PPA and to continue making my mark on the campus community.
What advice do you have for L&S students in general?
My advice for L&S students is to explore all of your options during your time here. One of the great things about L&S is that we have over 80 majors for students to choose from so I recommend that you keep an open mind to majors and minors that you may not even know you are interested in.
About me:
I loveee going to concerts! I have been able to see over 15 artists this year but hopefully I can get that number up as more tours are announced. Also, even though I have lived here my whole life, I am a huge fan of going on hikes and exploring new places around the Bay Area because there are always new places out there to find!
