How did you get here?
I worked at the UCSB Math Department my senior year of college and realized that I really enjoy helping students and interacting with them on a daily basis. It seemed like a natural next step to pursue a job here at UC Berkeley.

What is the best class I have ever taken?
I took a sailing course during my spring quarter senior year, and that was pretty amazing! Within my field of study, I took Introduction to Number Theory by Tom Zhang, who is a very famous number theorist. It was awesome getting to take a course taught by him in his area of expertise, plus he is a super nice guy!

What advice do you have for L&S students in general?
That it is not worth the stress! Although it is so important to push yourself to succeed and stay motivated, it is not worth it if that means putting yourself on the brink of a mental breakdown. Some stress is good, but too much stress is not going to benefit you later in life. Berkeley has so many cool opportunities for students to get involved in, so try to take advantage of those and have fun! If you find the academic stress gets to be too much come by and talk to us.
