How can L&S Advising Virtual Front Desk help?

During the Remote Learning Period, you can access the L&S Advising Office's front desk services virtually. Virtual Front Desk is run by L&S Intake Advising Staff and Peer Advisers. 

Topics you can get help with through L&S Advising's Virtual Front Desk: 

  • Clarification on L&S College policies and procedures 
  • Help choosing petitions and forms (and guidance in submission)
  • Support navigating which campus office to contact with questions
  • Guidance in whether to make an L&S College Advising appointment or to use a different resource

Breakout Rooms

Our Virtual Front Desk may use Breakout Rooms on Zoom to allow you to speak to someone one-on-one, but depending on traffic, may have multiple students asking questions in the main room. 

Evening Hours

To better serve our students, L&S Advising has expanded Virtual Front Desk service beyond our office's regular hours to offer evening services. 

Our Evening Virtual Front Desk is run by L&S Peer Advisers. L&S Peer Advisers are extensively trained to provide accurate information on college policy, requirements, and procedures and to objectively address a variety of student questions and concerns. 

Evening hours begin at 5pm PST.
