How did you get here?

During the summer of 2024, I saw the opportunity to become a Petition Processing Assistant at UC Berkeley and immediately pursued it. I've been drawn to Higher Education ever since my first role at Chabot College as a Peer Advisor back in 2019, and couldn't let this opportunity pass me by! I have a heart for students and love contributing in any way I can to their success.

What advice do you have for L&S students in general?

My advice would be to not rush yourselves. Your timeline is unique to you. College is hard and is certainly not "one size fits all." Take it one step at a time, and everything will work out in the end. You'll be alright and you will make it!

Most unusual job you ever had?

During my time as a student at SJSU, I was a Conversation Partner for the SJSU Research Foundation's International Gateways program for a fixed 2 weeks. Each week, my job was to meet with 2 students, individually, from Kyushu University in Japan via Zoom for 30 minutes to chat about literally anything! The goal of this program was to give future international students a chance to practice their English speaking skills and gain familiarity with American culture. Unusual indeed, but a joy to meet new people and learn something new about Japanese culture!

About me:

I love mysteries! From lost media to true crime, I'm constantly intrigued by the unsolved mysteries that still have us searching and wondering. I'm also an old soul and love chatting about historical events, fashion, pop culture, and life in general from past decades. I guess it's safe to say that I love analyzing and dissecting media and history! Aside from that, I love to sing, hang out with my family, friends, and pets, and volunteer at my local church.
